Andrographolide is a diterpene lactone compound extracted from the plant Andrographis paniculata of the Acanthaceae family. Andrographolide dissolves in boiling ethanol, slightly soluble in methanol or ethanol, very slightly soluble in chloroform, and almost insoluble in water or ether.
