4-Hydroxyisoleucine is extracted from fenugreek. Fenugreek is an annual herb, 20-80cm tall, and the whole plant has fragrance. The stem is upright, mostly tufted, and sparsely hairy. There are 10-20 seeds, brown, and fragrant. The flowering period is from April to June, and the fruiting period is from July to August.
