The plant Morinda officinalis belongs to the family Rubiaceae. Its roots are flat and cylindrical, varying in length and 1-2 centimeters in diameter. The cortical part is dark gray with circular cracks and exposes fine xylem showing discontinuity. The cross-section shows thick, fleshy, rich and purplish cortex and a small, rounded, yellowish-white xylem only 1/4 of the diameter, with slightly serrated edges. Morinda root has a sweet, slightly pungent flavor and is slightly warm in nature, and in traditional Chinese herbs goes to the kidney and liver meridians.
Function
Morinda officinalis how extract is commonly used to enhance the strength of sexual function in men and women. It is used for impotence, premature ejaculation, back and knee pain and sterility.
